Messages from individuals and businesses will be placed under this limit involving numerous unread messages sent to a user. But if the person answers, the messages are removed from the monthly quota. What App will display a warning for accounts approaching the limit.
The company said likely average users would not reach the threshold. It is a good form for individuals not to text people who do not answer. Testing is designed for businesses and frauds. In the following weeks, it will be extended to several countries.
Meta is trying to avoid misleading messages. Last year, it enabled the annulment of promotional messages. In August of this year, it announced that users will be notified when someone who is not on a contact list is added to a group.
By the first half of 2025, Whatsapp has banned over 6.8 million accounts associated with fraud centres. /Periscope/
