I knew the new basic Y model was coming today, but Tesla surprised this too: Model 3 Standard.

This new source-level model costs $38,630 with a $3,390 destination fee and a $250 bill.

According to Tesla's configuration, there's a single engine with 321 miles of autonomy and a time of 5.8 seconds to reach 0-100 miles per hour.

Model 3 Standard represents a savings of $5,500 compared to the back wheeled Premium active. In the Standard, you take a different set of 18-inch slices, just three choices of color, black or gray and a simpler set of seats and cloth ornaments, without the lighting of the environment, a fixed manual direction column, without ventilation seats and after glass. Here is a full price division for 2026 Model 3.

Tesla also uses various buffers for Model 3 Standard, and also erases the standard Autosteer function, although you can order Full-Self Drive for 8,000 dollars.

Another curious detail, according to a comparison graph between Model 3 variants, is the manual setting of side mirrors. Can't be imagined for a single machine today that there are no electrically regulated mirrors.

Model 3 Standard also has slightly less autonomy and slower charge speed than other models of Model 3. Its 321-mile autonomy is lower than 363 miles of the Premium model with the back wheel, and it can only charge 170 miles/15 minutes compared to 195 miles/15 minutes for Premium.

This is now the freest way to enter a Tesla, with Model Y Standard for $41,630. As for other electric vehicles below 40,000 dollars in the market, Model 3 Standard will have to compete with the new Nissan Leaf, Chevrolet Equinox EV and perhaps his closest rival, Hyundaik Ionijk 6.

Tesla says remittances to this new initial model will begin either in December of this year or in January of next year. /Periscope.
