By the time the generators were boiling through Kosovo, in December last year, the Kosovo Electronic Corporation was making huge electricity sales.
In the last month of 2024 alone, according to Kosovo Customs statistics, electricity was exported for 135m euros, until in the next 11 months electricity had been extracted from the country only 15.5m euros, Klan Kosova reports.
The entire crisis caused by corporate directors, who are people close to the government, was performed unusually by responsible officials.
But more than selling such a large power, it is of concern that Customs's figure is quite different from what KEK gives.
According to Infocus portal sources, the Corporation has exported electricity this year to an estimated 45m and 747 thousand and 305 euros.
So an annual explosion of 104.7m euros for 2024, but it is not known what belt Kosovo sold.
All of this, until Kosovo during 2024 imported nothing short of 142m euros in electricity.
It is for these imports that Nagip Krasniqi, the man who for a time managed KEK, is accused.
This faces two charges, one for import worth 36m euros, and the other for enabling energy trading to a Slovenian company in Kosovo, which had no licenses, thus damaging KEK to an estimated 3 million and 230 thousand euros.
For these deals, Kosovo's ambassador to Croatia, Martin Berisha, who is criticised as Serbia's GEN mediator, continues the energy market mediation business, profiting 600 thousand euros.
This, as far as in connection with these scandals -- especially Krasniqi's -- is already being interviewed by Prime Minister Albin Kurti's closest people, such as the co-ordinator of the Vetevendosje movement, Dejona Mihali.
A large number of messages exchanged with the former KEK chief, related to corporate management, were released.
Furthermore, in the first days of the campaign for the February 9th general elections, Kurti himself took care that personally, and in the company of Economy Minister Artane Rizvanolli, to hand over the 220 new workers contracts to the “Kosovo B” thermal power plant.
