Police arrest a man and a woman in Pec, misuse bank folders and withdraw tools from pension schemes

Kosovo police have conducted an action today in Pec, where they have arrested two people suspected of criminal acts “Misuse of official task“, “Cutting checks without cover or false and misusing bank or credit folders”.

In the Police's announcement, it is known that arrested are a man and a woman who allegedly, with the aim of profiting rich for themselves, have mishandled some people's bank folders and attracted the means obtained from pension schemes. The withdrawal of money has allegedly occurred consistently for several months.

During the search at three locations, six bank cards have been found on behalf of other people, a telephone and documentation relevant to the investigation.

Investigations into the case had begun in July of last year.

“also found two firearms, an AK-47 and a short gun for which after consulting the case prosecutor has been initiated. Suspects have been interviewed and, at the prosecutor's decision, sent to the detention of 48 hours”, the announcement said.

Kosovo police, the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption (DHKEK), today with 17,01.2025, have implemented the Control of the Foundation Court in Pec, the Department of New Crimes, with céʹrass under the ordinance, three (3) different locations on suspicion of criminal acts “, the use of official duty“, “, the use of checks without cover or fake and the misuse of bank or credit folders<4> before KPR.

Kosovo police investigated the case from July of last year with authorisation of the Basic Pine Prosecutor, under which separate investigation measures have been applied, as well as made the collection of necessary information, co-operating with other institutions according to competence, through which it has managed to provide reasonable evidence for the above-mentioned works.

Two (2) suspected persons in this case, a female and a Kosovo male, allegedly with the aim of profiting wealth for themselves have mishandled some people's bank cards and attracted the means obtained from pension schemes. The withdrawal of money has allegedly occurred consistently for several months.
Evidence has been seized as follows:

• six (6) Bank cards in the name of others

• a (1) phone

• Documentary on investigative procedures

Two firearms have also been found, an AK-47 and a short weapon for which, following consultation with the prosecutor of the case, a special case has been initiated.
Suspects have been interviewed, and with the prosecutor's decision they have been sent to keep up to 48 hours.
