This increase, believed to cost $1 127m, will be financed by existing state resources, as well as a combination of regional aid, new investments, and efforts to get access to frozen Syrian assets abroad again.

Syria's provisional government, led by de facto leader Ahmed al-Saharaa, was created after the collapse of Bashar al-Assad's brutal regime, which has been in power for decades.
Assad's regime has been toppled by the Tahir al-Sham (HTS) group, after nearly 14 years of civil war, resulting in more than 500,000 people being killed and millions moved.
HTS is a declared terrorist organisation by the United States and the European Union.
