The year 2025 has started with challenges for the citizens of Ferizaj, who have faced a lack of electricity in some areas, including several family medical centers.
Five medical centers in villages: Gaçka, Varosh, Losaji, and others have been closed, leaving residents without basic health services.
Ferizaj's Health Director has stated that the closure has been made due to lack of medical staff.
This situation deteriorated following the break of contract between the Ferizaj municipality and the organisation “Carias Kosova”, which had hundreds of doctors and nurses employed.
As a result, not only do village centers but the main ones have remained with a lack of staff.
In addition, the center of family medicine in the village of Dardan has not worked for several days because of lack of electricity.
