Economic crimes arrest three people for bribery in Gjakova, number about 12,000 euros

The three suspects have been interviewed in the presence of the defence attorney, and following the prosecutor's decision-making interview, Klankosova broadcast.tv.

At that, about 12,000 euros, mobile phones, passport and ID of the Republic of Albania and an iPod were seized.

Police announcement:

Kosovo police, the Directorate for Investigation of Economic Crimes and Corruption (DHKEK), the Regional Unit in Gjakova, respectively, have admitted to information that three suspects at different times and at different locations in Gjakova, had sought and accepted bribes from various business owners, with these acts allegedly carried out the” Marriage of Article 421 of KPRK.

Kosovo police, in co-ordination with the Constitutional Prosecutor in Gjakova, have taken investigative action, implementing even advanced investigative measures, during which evidence has been provided that three Kosovo male suspects -- with the aim of enriching themselves or the other person -- allegedly accepted bribes in various amounts of money in certain separate cases, as well as various material goods free of charge from the owners of various businesses in the Gjakova municipality.

Today, on 20,01.2025, with orders from the Constitutional Court in Gjakova in co-ordination with the attorney responsible have checked the three residential objects of suspected persons (two in Gjakova and one in Pec) where material evidence related to the case has been provided.

The following evidence has been seized during the search:

) cash ready 11600 Euro;

4 (4) Mobile Phones;

( 1 ) IPOD;

A (1) passport of the Republic of Albania;

A (1) identification of the Republic of Albania.
