I haven't heard anything so false in a long time and there's been a lot of false news lately! It's not absolutely true.
I have full respect and solidarity for the people of Gaza, who have suffered greatly because of the violent regime of Hamas and have experienced a terrible war after the tragedies of October 7th.
But let me be clear: Albania has not been asked by anyone to intervene, nor can we assume such responsibility.
We are proud of our strong friendships with Israel, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait and, of course, with Palestinian people, whose state Albania has recognised many years ago.
However, Albania is not in the Middle East, and, as a country in the heart of Europe, we cannot do more than any other European country on this issue.
However, we express the will and pray that the Palestinian people will have the opportunity to live in their own country, as free people under a democratic system, and that Hamas will never be able to harm Israel or, above all, Palestinians themselves”, is said in Rama's post.
