Witness: We arrested Chen Descu and Jakup Kastrac, and we saw Thaci that day.

During his testimony at The Hague, witness Demush Krasniqi is not true that they have arrested Cen Descu and Jakup Kastrati.

This statement by witness Krasniqi came after Thaci's defence told him that in many media it has turned out that he, along with Fehmi Kryeziu and Skender Hotin, had arrested Cen Descu and Jakup Kastratin, reports “Justice Votrim”.

Many media have reported arrest that we have arrested. That's not true. Even in the first statement, and the second one I told you, please don't mention the word arrest that it's not true”, said witness Krasniqi.

The witness said Hashim Thaci had not seen the day the two persons mentioned in the car were taken.

Thaci's lawyer, Luka Misethic, reminded the witness that he told Z The SP that he was standing on the street with the other two people when a car arrived that took Descu and Kastrat. And for the car that joined the first car, he said he didn't know if they had anything to do with each other.

“Po had KLA emblems”, the witness told the first car when asked what that car looked like.

Later, the witness was asked where he knew the car was the KLA's General Staff.

There were two soldiers out of the car and they saw us talking there. It was me, Skender Hoti, Fehmiu, and some soldiers. We were told to pick up two people who are in the OSCE house here. We don't know what this is about. Fehmiu went from us because he was younger- he knocked on the door and called. When we got out, we saw who are”, the witness said, adding that there's no sign behind the car signing the General Staff.

The Witness denied that he did not know who the soldiers were who came by car.

“Vec told me we came here to get two people here and we thought that they were their people who brought them here and they're taking it back”, he said.

Misetic again insisted on his question of how he knew these soldiers were from the General Staff.

We were presented that way. No distinguishing sign was just presenting them”, the witness said.

Misetic reminded the witness that the Kosovo Prosecutor had told him that they were not members of the General Staff but that they were simply soldiers of the General Staff. He also reminded the witness that he had said he was unaware of where he had been detained by Cen Descu and Jakup Kastrat.

“Yes, I was present”, the witness said when asked whether he was present at the release of Jakup Kastrat and Chen Descu.

On the other hand, the witness denied he was aware that Jakup Kastrati had said he was one of the persons involved in his arrest.

Also, Misetic told the witness that Jakup Krasniqi remembers telling him you have orders to arrest him and orders must be implemented. That is what the witness denied.

There are many LDK people among us, even in the KLA. We have no obstacle at all”, the witness said when asked whether the voices these two persons were arrested as members of the LDK are true.

I have men who have been taken as educators to talk to them”, the witness said.

In addition, the witness claimed that the River Unit was created by Gani Krasniqi, a person with authority in the area.

The Witness confirmed this and said Gani Krasniqi has known since before the war that he was a political prisoner and is close to villages.

He confirmed that he was part of the Democratic League of Kosovo and a member of the leadership in his village.

Until the beginning of the war I was in LDK”, the witness said, adding that he joined friends in the KLA.

The witness claimed that for the SPS, he has said he is a friend even with Isni Kiline and that he has gone to his house to wish him a good way while preparing for The Hague.

The witness said.

He claimed that, along with the unit, Lummi was the unit that was headed by Fatmir Limaj. But he didn't answer when he was asked if there was any rivalry between these two units.

Misetic told the witness that for the SPS he had said that during the time he was a soldier at the Lumi unit he cannot remember seeing any visit by any KLA superior commander.

While in connection with the military police, the witness had told the SPS that he had received an invitation from another soldier in the Lumí unit.

He had also said that the person who invited him to join the Military Police was a simple soldier and that why he had witnessed this invitation was because he was considered the oldest person.

All of this was confirmed by the witness, including the fact that he told the SPS that he was positioned in the position of Deputy Military Police Commander of Brigade 122 and that he was locked in the Military Police in Dragobilla.

The Witness said that if you don't make a mistake, it was snowed when he was locked in the Military Police.

According to Misetic, the witness had told the SPS that his duties at the Military Police did not include the arrest of persons and had no authorisation to arrest soldiers like his own. This was confirmed by the head witness, even though his answer was not heard.

He also stated with his head, but his question was not heard when Misetic told him that for SPS the witness had said he had never received written orders and no list of persons considered suspects, including LDK members, when he was part of the Military Police.
