Last week, the son of one suspect in last night's “Aktas” was filed for attempted murder of the victim's brother

These two groups, allegedly the Sekiraqa family and the Gashi family (known as the Capat), reports “Justice Trust“.

Last week, exactly on August 28, 2024, Pristina's Constitutional Prosecutorship has filed an indictment against Shumbin Sekiraqa (the suspect's son for last night's Salih Sekiraqa), who is accused of attempted the assassination of Pajtim Gashi (now late brother of Friday Gashi).

According to the indictment, on March 4th 2024, on the “road Bedra Shala” in Pristina, while moving by car, the property of defendant Muhedin Haliti, Shumbin Sekiraqa had met with the person NN who was moving with another vehicle on that road. The defendant Sekiraqa for unknown reasons, deliberately and in order to deprive the life of the injury to Gashi, after talking to the NN person, put behind the injured Gashi, exit the car and address him in words “Paya husband or are you familiar with me?

The Actakuz says that he is then physically attacked, in a way that first Shkumbin Sekiraqa pulls out the firearm by shooting at Gashi, then hitting him in the head with a press rifle, causing head injury and a right-leg wound.

It says that the injured Gashi, even though he has managed to leave the scene, the defendant has fired weapons in his direction.

With this, Sekirac is charged with co-ordinating with the NNN person, committing the attempted murder “assassination” by Article 172 concerning Article 28 and Article 31 of the Criminal Code.

At the second point of the indictment, however, it is said that on day, time, and place as at the first point of the indictment, Sekiraqa, using the weapon in public, has caused great danger to people's lives. That's because as long as he fired a gun to the injured Pajtim Gashi, has endangered other people on the street.

With this, Sekiraqa is accused of committing criminal work “Cause of total risk” by Article 356, par.1 of the Penal Code.

At the third point of the indictment, however, it is said that on the same day, time, and place, defendant Sekiraqa has held the firearm in possession contrary to the law on weapons.

With this, it is accused of committing criminal work “possession, control or unauthorized possession of weapons”, from Article 366, par.1 of the Criminal Code.

On the other hand, Muheddin Haliti is accused of deliberately assisting defendant Shkumbin Sekiraqa, hiding the evidence of his own possession (Halit), which Sekiraqa had in use on the critical day. Furthermore, it is said that neither the commission of criminal activity by Sekiraqa, accused Haliti, has hidden the car in his garage, and when asked by police members, had claimed to have sold it.

With that, Mujatin Haliti is accused of committing criminal work “The law of assisting perpetrators after performing criminal acts” by Article 380, par. One of the Penal Code.

The injured Pajtim Gashi had said he stood by two statements given in the police. Describing the critical day, he had said that a person with a car had come to the family business, who had told him “why he was looking at me” and was beginning to curse him. After leaving about 15 feet [15 m], he said that he had stopped the car and started to curse it, and then another person had come and said nothing.

Later, he had claimed that the defendant had fired a gun in his direction, and when he tried to take the gun, the other person had hit him in the neck and head with his fist and fists as a result of his fall. According to him, the defendant had fired 5-6 times.

According to him, Shkumbin Sequirah had never met him before, nor now, and never had any problems with him.

The defendant Sekiraqa, on the other hand, had said he stood by the statement given in the police.

The police have stated that it has nothing to do with the case that happened to him 04.03.23 and does not know the injured Gashi”, Sequiqa was quoted as declaring.

On the other hand, accused Muhedin Haliti had given that Shkumbin Sekiraqu is known only as Salih Sekiraqa's son, whose family has neighbours.

Haliti, it says he said he had contact with Shkumbin only when he gave him his car but did not remember the date correctly. The defendant, according to him, had asked for another reason that Halit had given him because of his respect for his father.

Further, it is said that since Haliti is involved in car trading, when the investigators asked him about his car, he told them that he had sold it after having had three, two had been sold and one had at home. The car that was claimed to have been Khumbini, Haliti said he never drove Shkumbin, because it was his and it was in his garage. Same, he says he doesn't have it now because he sold it.

However, the Court had taken these statements as groundless and attempts to flee criminal responsibilities because they were contrary to all provided evidence.

To what?Has the late Friday Gashi been convicted?

The victim, who remained killed during the evening of September 1st 2024, according to the convictions secured by the “Justice Vow “Trust, has been sentenced for the criminal act of causing total risk and illegal weapons.

The Constitutional Court in Pristina, in 2020, had sentenced him to 1 years in effective prison and 500 euros in fines, even counting his time in detention and house arrest from November 22nd, 2019 to February 22, 2020.

To this sentence, the prosecution had complained, demanding the highest sentence on the Appeals.

And the Court of Appeals had approved this complaint as a base and had changed the Foundation's decision, increasing its sentence for six months, respectively, had sentenced the accused to 1 year and 6 months in prison, as well as 1,000 euros in fines.

Promising Gashi was charged that on October 20, 2019, in the corridor of the bar “Amsterdam” in the village of Dobrant of the Gracanica municipality, he fired four times with his machine guns, which he had seriously injured G. G and St. I, as well as minor injuries, had also taken L.D.

Furthermore, it is said that the case had occurred when the accused's brother -- now the late Prem Gashi, Petrit Gashi, had gone to that bar along with his wife and in a drunken state had argued with the injured A.D. The last person on the phone had contacted Gashi's uncle's son to go get him with the reasoning that he was drunk and was disturbing the guests.

After a while, it is said that the accused, along with the other Leaping brother, had gone to the club for a while. Leaving the bar, the brother of the accused -- Petriti, who was drunk, had begun to bother guests, insulting and insulting them.

Thus, further it is said that the accused Friday went into the yard and took the gun from the car, shooting three times in the air and then shooting four times in the bar corridor, where three people remain injured.

The accused before the court had pleaded guilty, saying what happened was random, demanding that he receive a milder sentence.
