During a media conference with Lithuanian president Eglis Levis in 2022 Osmani stressed that the charges against Berisha were not confirmed by justice bodies and that the ambassador had denied all charges, planning to pursue all legal ways to protect his reputation.
The president quoted US President Joe Biden as implying that the charges were disinformation: “As President Beden has said, the biggest risk to our democracy is not only tanks, but also deninforms. ”
She said she expected any publication to be confirmed by justice bodies and that, if not confirmed, it would be carried out according to decisions made.
As president, I expect everything published to be confirmed, and if they are not confirmed, we proceed as we have made our decisions and we trust the ambassador of our Republic when he denies such allegations”, Osmani had declared.
After these developments, however, Osman has changed his attitude.

In an interview for the “Kalxon Pernime” show, she has said it would be better for Kosovo's foreign service for Martin Berisha to leave his post as ambassador to Croatia until the investigation is completed.
The president clarified that there is no competence to dismiss the ambassador directly, but suggested Berisha resign to protect Kosovo's foreign policy image.
I haven't had communication with him, I haven't met him. He wasn't with me on my last visit (to Croatia). Because that's what I decided. There was no need because I had my staff, and I think there are many things that should be explained for everyone's benefit and for the benefit of Kosovo's foreign policy image. . It's good to leave. I want justice institutions to give their word and the best in such cases, and the best thing would be until such procedures were carried out, he would leave that position. The president couldn't get someone in charge because it's procedure. I sometimes asked that if this case was not clarified it would be better for him to withdraw himself. At our joint meetings, mostly to the Foreign Ministry”.
According to Slovenian media, Berisha has become part of a scheme, where money sent by a Serbian company was transferred to another Montenegrin company, whose owner is Kosovo Ambassador Martin Berisha.
