Democratic League of Kosovo deputy leader Hykmete Bajrami said the government cannot hide “corruption with secret tenders”, given a recent statement by Interior Minister Jhelal Svecla that he does not know details about tender 15m euros in the dictatorship he leads.

Bajrami says MPB negotiated itself with company Infosoft Systems, to which he gave 5m euros more than the amount discussed in the open procedure.

In 2023, Bajrami said the Svecla-led ministry no longer announced the tender, but chose a company itself for the 15 million tender.

What happens in 2023 is that the Ministry of Internal Affairs no longer announces tender, thereby eliminating any competition between economic operators and contracting only with the company Infosoft Systemsı, which he already had in 2020, but now this contract for the same time, costs Kosovo's budget nothing less than 14m and 988 thousand and 509 euros”, Bajrami wrote.

She said the same company won about 5m euros more by negotiating directly with the ministry.

“STAY: The same company with the procedure opened 10 million and 295 thousand and 243 euros, while with closed/consequential procedure 14 million and 988 thousand and 509 euros, that is, the gap is 4 million and 693 thousand and 266 Euro”.

She says Svechla signed this contract and that it's not true he doesn't know its details.
