SUNSHKUY gets the door to VVA, calls for salary increases

Representatives of the United Trade Trade Union of Education, Science and Culture (SBASHK), Chairman Beftman Jasharaj, Deputy Chairman Vjollca Shala, and Co-ordinator for internal organisation Ymer Ymer Ymer, held a meeting at the Kosovo Assembly environments with the head of the Vetevendosje Movement Parliamentary Group, Mimoza Kusari-Lila. Parliamentary Commission chairman [...] was also present at this meeting.
The chairman of the Parliamentary Commission for Education, Ardian Gola, and MPs Arjeta Rexhepi and Arjeta Fyza were also present.
Chairman Jasharaj stressed at the beginning of the meeting that “we have submitted an official request for the establishment of the salary co-efficiency value for at least 30% and the realisation of the Constitutional Court's decision concerning the return of the value of 0.5% for the first 15 years of labour experience. ”
He added that union requirements are important for improving working conditions and for further government support.
The Ymer Co-ordinator announced that “we are working on preparing the draft of the Selective Education Count and seeking support for the civic initiative aimed at changes to the Law on Pension Scheme.” He explained that the goal is to return “Article 6th 8, which reasonably recognises the 90s as contributing years. ”
The head of the VV Parliamentary Group, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, requested that the issue of the Law on Pension Scheme be sent even in written form and committed to assist in the dialogue regarding the Kolecative Education Treaty. It stated that “will engage to ensure that the SBASK requirements are reviewed and included in relevant parliamentary processes. ”
Other important issues for education in Kosovo were also discussed at this meeting, with particular emphasis on improving conditions for education workers and providing greater support from state institutions.
