The start of the school year -- Nagavci today visits two schools in Pristina -- five of them embrace daily instruction

On the occasion of the start of the new school year 2024/2025, Education Minister Arberie Nagavci will visit two schools in Pristina today.

The announcement says that Nagavci from 10:00 will visit the school “iliria”, while from 11:00 a.m. school “Elena Gjika”.

Teaching will not be limited to books and theories. There will be practical activities, educational games, recreation, and culture.

These changes will be implemented in the new school year 2024/2025 in the low cycle at five public elementary schools in Pristina.

With the decision of the capital municipality, daily instruction will take place for the first time for classrooms from the first to fifth.

The schools this project will launch are: “Faik Conica”, “Gezmail Mustafa”, “Green School”, “Nazim Gafurri” and “Qamil Batalli”.

The new school year 2024/2025 is expected to begin today all Kosovo elementary and secondary schools on 2 September.

Texts and other school materials for students from the first to ninth grade are financed by the Kosovo Government.

Like last year, money has been transferred to parents' bank accounts so they can buy their own children's books.

A total of 194,180 parents or legal caretakers have been applied so far, while 171,200 applicants have been subsidised. The vehicle transfer process continues”, Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti said at the latest meeting of his government, held 28 August.

For students from the first grade to the fifth, parents or legal managers are subsidised by 80 euros, while for students from sixth to ninth are subsidised by 110 euros.
