Kosovo's Special Court has rejected Isni Kilajt's defence request to change the terms of his release, which were imposed in May of this year.
Concretically, Judge Marjorie Masselot has refused the defence request that Kilajt is allowed to travel to Albania, since, according to her, the proposed changes do not address the risks described at Article 41 (6) (b) of the Special Court Law.
“In a public version of its decision, deposited on September 24, 2024, the sole judge in the case of Isni Kilajt refused the defence requirement for changing conditions for the release of Isni Kilajt, which were imposed in May of this year. The defence called for temporary changes to the current conditions to allow it to travel to Albania, but Judge Marjorie Masselot ruled that the proposed changes would not adequately address the existing risks described at Article 41506) of the law” the Special reports.
The specialist four months ago has released Kilaj from custody to defend himself in freedom, with some conditions involving a 30,000-euro bail, not leaving Kosovo territory, telling about the residence address and making public statements in the media.
