The deputy leader of the Kosovo Serb party, “Serbian Democracy”, Ivan Orlovovic, who was arrested Tuesday in northern Mitrovica after whistling Prime Minister Albin Kurti, during his visit to this part of the country, has said there has been no violence by Kosovo Police against him.
He's given away the story of how it got to his arrest.
I've been arrested for disrupting order and public calm while I've dropped the pipe and that's a concern for them. When I approached the bridge, the police were everywhere, not allowing a group of people to approach the bridge, so I approached and asked why they were not leaving. Some people were allowed to enter, but me and some others were rejected. The cops didn't want to speak Serbian. Then I pulled out my pipe, started whistling, and then I was arrested”, Orlovic told N1.
Orloviq said there was no police violence when he was sent to the station adding they were correct.
And the police took us south to the station and there I saw Arsenijevich. We didn't talk much, but you can see on video how they deal with him when he was arrested. There's a lot of behavior like that, but not all cops are like that, let's face it, but such behavior is enough to cause an incident. The police who arrested us were correct to me and there was no violence, but there was no reason, because I didn't do anything illegal”, said party vice president “Serbian Democracy”.
