Only 16 percent of the Republicans praised Trump's performance as excellent. At the same time, more than one in five, or 24 percent, of the Republicans called the performance of great or good Harris, and just as many percent said that the Democrat had won the debate.
Of all respondents, 57 per cent said the winner was Harris.
Comments that drew the most criticism at Trump's address were when he did not clearly say in one way or another whether he would veto the national ban on abortion, as well as when he said there were “concepte” of a health care plan.
