Police Officer Bekim Ibishi today on the 25th anniversary of the Kosovo Police has resigned from this institution.
He through a post in his Facebook account has shown the reasons he was forced to leave the Kosovo police.
Kosovo's “Police are facing serious challenges, where members are forced to cover their own expenses for daily roads and food, or as the people “say, hi to the left, state work”. This situation, coupled with a lack of health insurance and difficult working conditions, makes it impossible for me to go further”, has prompted it among other things.
His full post:
On 25th anniversary of the Kosovo Police, I announce I have resigned from police
Your Honor,
With this letter I announce my resignation from the Kosovo Police. I have had a great honor to be part of this institution representing the main legacy of the Kosovo Liberation Army, but unfortunately the current conditions have prompted me to make that decision.
Kosovo police are facing serious challenges, where members are forced to cover their own expenses for daily roads and food, or as the people “say, hi to the left, state work”.
This situation, along with lack of health insurance and difficult working conditions, makes it impossible for me to continue.
The life of a patrol policeman is estimated at a minimum additional risk to only 60 euros.
Kosovo's government leaves the money on one side and improves the conditions for Kosovo Police and its citizens.
I thank all my colleagues for their support and cooperation during this time and wish that conditions will improve for all who continue to serve.
Respectfully Bekim Ibishi
