Osman meets with Sweden's ambassador, talk security developments

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has hosted Sweden's Ambassador Jonas Westerlund, with whom she discussed recent developments in the country, including security developments, as well as Kosovo-Swedi reports. In the communiqué it becomes known that at the meeting, President and Ambassador Westerlund also discussed Kosovo's Euro-Atlantic integration, with Cʹrast Osmani stressing the importance of Sweden's continued support in this direction. Since Kosovo is 100 per cent linked to EU policies, as well as taking into account reforms carried out in the country, in particular in the area of rule of law, the president seized the necessity of aspiring states' assessment, including Kosovo, based on merit.
Also discussed at the meeting was Kosovo's efforts to advance its international presence, as well as steps further on membership in international organisations.
In addition, it became known that President Osmani and Ambassador Westerlund also discussed intensifying bilateal co-operation between Kosovo and Sweden, including trade co-operation, Swedish potential investment, information technology co-operation, as well as in other areas of mutual interest.
