It becomes known that Osman welcomed and succeeded Ambassador Orav during his mandate, as Kosovo's continued commitment and engagement towards the EU was re-enhanced.
“President Osmani has said that Kosovo continues to face reforms in all areas, harmonising its legislation with that of the EU, as well as being fully co-ordinated with the common EU foreign and security policy”.
“Tutje, the president stressed that Kosovo has filled all conditions to gain EU candidate country status”, the presidency's announcement said.
In addition, it becomes known that at the meeting, the latest developments in the country, including security, as well as the co-operation of Kosovo and EU institutions, were discussed in order to meet common goals.
“In this spirit, President Osmani has reiterated the great importance of handling aspiring states based on merit and embrace values that stand on the foundations of the EU”, the announcement said.
