Muslim Community Concerned About Biktash State Initiative in Tirana

Through a statement to the media, Albania's Muslim Community claims to be the only representative and official of Islamic religion in Albania and that in this context it expresses concern for public statements that speak of modern Islam “”, Albanian Islam”, or even Islamic state within the republic.

“Albania is not faced with any risk of breaking harmony and dialogue, rather, such initiatives may be a dangerous precedent for the country's future. KMSH further underlines that this initiative that we have been familiar with through the media is unsullied with religious communities, which for such cases have established a special institution, praised by all Western countries, such as the Interreligious Council of Albania”.

Given the high interest of believers, the media, and public opinion, regarding the opening of the discussion on the establishment of “The sovereignty of Bektashi Order” in Tirana, Albania's Muslim Community declares the following:

Albania's Muslim community is the only and official representative of Islamic religion in Albania.

Our religion has three fundamental components on which it exercises its activity in the Republic of Albania for over a century, which are:

1st Qur'an Familiar, the word of the Lord of the Worlds,

2-A Prophetic Tradition,

3-The Constitution of the Republic of Albania

In this context, we express our concern over public statements where modern Islam” or “Albanian Islam” or even Islamic state within our republic.

These terms have nothing to do with religion as a religion, which is a universal religion, and it is based on the Prophetic Koran and Tradition, and it respects the constitutions and laws in every country it belongs to.

Albania's Muslim community is the institution under which they have been and will continue to be represented by all the ovaries.

This was also the purpose of Muslim scholars who worked for an independent, secular and multireligious Albania.

The Muslim community is majority in the Republic of Albania and one of the main contributors to religious dialogue and harmony in the country.

This community has never named the harmony of the dialogue as its “domain”, since this extraordinary value exists in our country is a contribution to each and all.

In this sense, our country is not faced with any risk of breaking harmony and dialogue, rather, such initiatives may be a dangerous precedent for the country's future.

All Abrahamic religions at their core are intended to serve God's way and to contribute to society, as they have been doing for thousands of years.

This initiative that we have been familiar with through the media is unaccomplished with religious communities, which for such cases have also established a special institution praised by all Western countries, such as the Interreligious Council of Albania.

The earlier we explain, we assure Muslim believers in the Republic of Albania that we will represent them and every believer in each fee, just as we have done to this day, even so on.

We will continue to follow this issue closely and take the necessary reform steps of the Constitution and the laws of our country.
