Local Serbs in the north begin to disperse, Elshani gives details about today's protest

Local Serbs who were protesting from the early morning hours in front of the police station in the north have begun to disperse. The same are seeking the release of four young people who were arrested by Kosovo Police, after they had attacked and insulted members of the Kosovo Police in a drunken state. [...]
The protest has started since early morning hours at the Kosovo Police station in northern Mitrovica.
This protest is organised by Alexander Aresniyevic's party, for which the release of four young people is required.
Arsenijevic, along with his party's deputy chairman, Stefan Veljkovic, have been seen leading the protest and whistling along with the gathered citizens.
Various banners are also seen in the protest. One of them writes “the EU is concerned?”.
Deputy Police Director for the Northern Region Veton Elshani has declared for Kosovo that Kosovo Police have taken appropriate measures in case they need to intervene, because of the protest Serbs today have held regarding the four people who have been charged with attacking official persons.
While he has said the reason for the protest is because court hearings have been held for the same day, but the decision is not yet known.
“About 10:00 today, a protest began here regarding the four people we had arrested two nights earlier for assaulting official people. The reason for the protest was because there was a trial hearing going on, the hearing started at 2:00, it's over. The decision has not yet been taken, perhaps taken at this moment, and police have taken appropriate measures in case they need to intervene, in case the decision is made to send the same to custody we intervene. Now there are no masses of people, so there are journalists and family”, Elshani said.
