Lajcak's initiative to resume dialogue, uninterested parties

Not equal treatment of parties in dialogue by the EU is considered the reason for the difficulty of setting a meeting in Brussels between Kosovo and Serbia, the opposition thinks differently.

Last week he was in Pristina, and this Tuesday he is in Belgrade.

The EU's special representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajcak, at the centre of this trip had preparations for a new round of negotiations at the chief negotiator level.

Krasniqi says insisting on some topics of dialogue has been wrong for which Kosovo is now suffering the consequences.

Even deputy from the Vetevendosje Movement Adnan Rrustemi says there is little hope from the efforts of emissary Lajcak for meetings and agreements in this period.

His own sin is that he didn't treat the parties equal from the start.

I'm not an optimist at all about the role or process that Mr. Lajcak, he is, of course, trying, probably on the basis of the scope and competencies he has, but the hope, the belief that there may be any positive effect is evaporating”, said Adnan Rrustemi, LV deputy.

Rrustemi said these meetings have lost their significance, when only two weeks after the Kurti-Vukic meeting had the attack on Banjska, and at that meeting Kosovo was considered a non- constructive party from the EU.

Of the latter have not yet disclosed any date, when there might be an upcoming Kosovo-Serbia meeting.
