The European Union's precondition that Kosovo and Serbia must engage constructively in the context of the dialogue process and implement all obligations from the Ohrid-Brussels agreement and past agreements so that they can benefit from the billions of Development Plans, has prompted Prime Minister Albin Kurti to pledge official Brussels to constructiveity and implementation of all agreements.
The head of the Kosovo Government, Albin Kurti, on Friday has met with European Union Enlargement General Director Gert Jan Koopman, who has pledged full implementation of the agreements reached with Serbia under the dialogue for normalisation, those coming out of the Basque Agreement for Road to Normalisation, and also past dialogue agreements.
Kurti at this meeting has shown that Kosovo is committed to moving ahead with the normalisation process and has pledged constructive engagement.
“in this context, Kosovo vows to fully implement all the respective obligations that come out of the Basic Agreement for the Road to Normalisation and its Anexis Equipment, including all past dialogue agreements. The implementation details will be discussed in dialogue under the convenience of the EU”, Kurti said after meeting with Koopman.
However, in an interview given Friday for “toReuters”, Kurti, when he spoke of association, has said he is willing to talk about that agreement, but has specified that he talks about something that would violate Kosovo as a state.
The head of the Kosovo government has also been critical of the West, due to their focus only on the issue of Association, saying there is a wide range of agreements between Serbia and Kosovo, which Serbia has failed to implement.
