Russian forces have continued their offensive in the eastern Ukrainian region of Donjeck, while both sides have reportedly carried out yet another exchange for imprisoned soldiers.
Donjeck's regional governor, Vadym Filashkin, said on September 14th that four civilians were killed and seven were injured after Russia carried out more than 20 attacks, forcing more than 900 residents to be evacuated.
Russian forces have continued their progress towards Pokrovsk, an important logistical and supply centre for Ukrainian troops located on the frontline east of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Army reported over 130 battles, mostly towards Pokrovsk, or near Kurkove City.
On Saturday, the Russian Defence Ministry reported that it has taken control of the village of Zhelanne Pershe, just 20 kilometers from Kurkove.
Russia has also carried out intimidation attacks, and Ukraine said it has down over 70 Russian drones.
Wars in Ukraine come at a time when Russia is trying to oust Kiev's forces from its territory. Ukraine has taken control of more than 1,300 square miles [1,300 sq km] in the Russian region of Kursk after launching the offensive there in August.
On September 14th, Russia and Ukraine have also exchanged from 103 imprisoned soldiers. This is the third exchange of prisoners since Ukraine began offensive in Russia. / REL/
