IPKO with historic achievements in expanding the 5G network at the national level

IPKO is proud to announce important advancements in expanding the 5G network across Kosovo, marking a major step in the RAN modernisation plan for 2024. This initiative has markedly improved the internet and quality of wireless services for customers in all.

As part of the ongoing effort to provide advanced technology and continued recovery of the consequential, IPKO has scored a historic achievement by creating 100 functional 5G locations throughout Kosovo. This expansion ensures that each major centre now enjoys strong and wide coverage of 5G, significantly increasing the speed and reliability of telephone services.

With the emphasis on endurance, IPKO has integrated technology with efficient energy into new and renovated facilities, improving environmental impact, while improving network performance. IPKO was the first telecommunications provider to present 5G technology on the Kosovo market in 320 and continues to rapidly expand internet coverage across the country.

“Line 5G IPKO has achieved a significant increase in data from daily cargo, increasing from 7,500 GB to 32,805 GB, an impressive 437% increase. Initially, in June, only 1.6% of all network users used 5G technology. This shows an insensible achievement at 15% by September, showing a significant admission of 5G services by users. This influx highlights expansion with internet coverage and the credibility of the 5G IPKO network across the region. ”
