Following the September 24th attack on Zvecan Banjska, NATO member states have increased presence with military troops in the north.
Soon, 100 soldiers from the Idaho National Guard are expected to deploy to Kosovo.
This was made known through an announcement from the American Army.
“Operation Joint Guardian is a joint mission under the United States European Command. Soldiers will focus on training and supporting Allied partners”.
Task Force Sawtooth soldiers have worked and trained zealously over the past 18 months for this dislocation”, says the report.
While German Bundeswehri has also announced that 200 military officers will land in Kosovo.
For years, German participation in the Kosovo Forces operation KFOR was characterised by contracting contingents”.
“However, since the rising outbreaks of violence have threatened the region's stability since 2022, Bundeswehr is sending an operational company of about 200 men and women to the Kosovo KFOR Force in 2024. With her patrols she provides a little more security”, the announcement says.
