Hot with criticism of Kurti Government: No capital investment has been launched

Democratic League of Kosovo MP Avdullah Hoti has said that Kurti Government has no capital investment completed by the Government led by Albin Kurti, adding that all projects have been launched by past governments.

Among the projects initiated by past governments, Hoti has mentioned the Podujevo road, Peja, Mitrovica, Kline, Gjakova, as well as the Gjilan highway.

When it comes out in the private sector, we haven't had any major local or international investments that create jobs”.

Hoti also has said that Kurti Government has had 12 billion euros to spend, but according to him the government has increased subsidies and cut capital investments.

“Pa needed public capital was created, the economy does not go forward. Today the country's economy lacks more than 1 billion euros, state investment in the economy. Maybe two, three times more private investment from a lack of substantial foreign and local investments. The total budget when dealing with this government's mandate with the budget and 2024 totals 12 billion euros because Kosovo's economy has risen year-on-year, these have had 12 billion euros available to spend, even in salaries and subsidies, capital investments”. Hoyt said.

Among other things, Hoti has criticised the government for the minimum wage, claiming that the salary today is lower than in 2020.

It is too late, and it is insufficient to do so without the legal procedures profile in terms of minimum wage, it has had to develop social dialogue since the beginning of the mandate as it was developed in the past when unions, economic efforts and the Government, even on regular annual grounds, reconsider the minimum wage. It is a fact that the minimum wage has not changed for many years in the past, but during the mandate of this Government there have been major changes in the economy due to inflation, it has been too necessary to review minimum wages, public sector salaries, all the aid provided by the state for households, in order to preserve purchasing power, people today receive wages 20 percent lower than they received in 2020. ”
