In a joint communiqué Friday, the 27 EU member states said supply “is a direct threat to European security” and that this represents escalation, as Iran has in the past supplied Russia with ammunition and fears.
The bloc's foreign policy and security chief, Josep Borrell, said the EU would soon respond to new sanctions against Iran's missile programmes and fears.
Iran has denied accusations by Ukraine and the West that it is supplying Russia with rockets. Tehran has also denied in the past that it supplies it with combat fear.
“The EU has repeatedly warned Iran against supplying Russia with ballistic missiles”, the report said.
Iran is extremely isolated politically due to its nuclear programme and human rights violations.
In recent years, Iranian leadership has responded by strengthening relations with Russia and China.
Earlier this week, Great Britain, France and Germany canceled the agreements for air services with Tehran and pledged to sanction its airline company, Iran Air.
The European Three, known as E3, said in a communique on September 10th that it has taken measures after confirming Iran has transferred ballistic missiles to Russia.
Meanwhile, the United States imposed sanctions on 10 individuals and six individuals based in Iran and Russia, including Iran Air, for suspected supply of ballistic missiles.
Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Canan said on September 10th that these charges are fully false and groundless “. /rel/
