Establishing the state of Bektash within Albania, Rama: Treasure of Peace and Religious Tolerance

Following his address at the United Nations Assembly yesterday, Prime Minister Rama has already stressed today that Order Bektash is a treasure Albania must offer in the service of peace, tolerance and humanity “as a sovereign spiritual entity in our capital of Tirana”.

Referring to the book “History and the Culture of the Order Bektas in the Balkans” of renowned Canadian scholar Robert Elsie (1950-2017), who specialised in Albanian literature and Albanian folklore, Rama writes that from this book anyone can learn “More for the unique history and culture of the Order Bekatshi”.

“An extraordinary book for anyone interested in learning more about the unique history and culture of the Bektas Order, a treasure Albania must offer in the service of peace, tolerance and humanity as a sovereign spiritual entity in our capital, Tirana, where the World Headquarters of Bektas has long been founded and has been resurrected from the ashes of the Communist atheistic dictatorship.”, writes Rama on the X network.

Meanwhile, yesterday in his address to the United Nations Assembly of America, Rama said Albania was ready to transform the World Order Bektas into “a sovereign state within the Albanian capital”, similar to the Vatican.

The idea for establishing state Bektash was earlier warned by Rama in an interview for American prestige “New The York Times”, where according to Rama, the purpose of this microstate was to promote tolerant Islam.
