Kosovo Foreign Minister Donika Grovalla has asked France's President Emmanuel Macron to visit Kosovo and see closely that the situation with Serbs in our country is not as presented by Russia and Serbia. In an interview for Turkish English-language media, “TRT World”, Kosovo minister has said [...]
In an interview for Turkish English-language media, “TRT World”, the Kosovo minister, has said all of this is part of Russia and Serbia's powerful propaganda campaign against Western allies.
“Regarding President Macro's concerns for the Serb minority in Kosovo, I can invite him and all others who may have certain sorrows, visit Kosovo and we will create the opportunity for them to see with their own eyes and (see) that this is part of the powerful propaganda from Russia and Serbia against the allies of the West and those who are against Ukraine in this fight”, Klorovat reported.
On the Ibër Bridge issue, Kosovo's top diplomat said that “is the time to open the bridge and that we will do so that citizens of both sides of the city will be very happy”.
“We are not opening now, but we are preparing for its opening at a moment that is appropriate for our city, citizens and country”, the minister said.
She said she does not know why there are concerns from Western officials in Kosovo about the opening of the bridge, because, as she put it, the “expansion of bridges is always positive”.
We have two other bridges on our left and right, and they are used daily by citizens and vehicles and there is no security problem. So security can be the reason. What may be the reason behind that is that Belgrade is constantly seeking to find some pretext and create tensions and conflicts in our country, but we should not allow Vucinqi to pass on. Because if you turn yourself in to the daisies, then you can't count for the best”, Gervala said.
The chief of Kosovo diplomacy criticised Serbia, even in terms of its close reports with Russia, saying Serbia's president, Allexander Vuciq, is not behaving like European statesmen.
“Vuciqi is the closest ally of Vdalmir Putin in Europe, and someone who still continues co-operation with Moscow and Putin personally. These days Serbia's first deputy prime minister, Allexander Voulin, who is under US and British sanctions, has visited Moscow. A few days ago, he put flowers at Stalin's grave, and tomorrow he'll meet Putin again. So, we have a very pro-Russia place. Therefore, it is always good to try to turn Serbia into European and democratic countries, where Serbia is not”, said Foreign and Diaspora Minister Donika Grovalla.
