Defended witness witness kicks off at The Hague, former KLA soldier

His testimony is expected to last two days.

According to the announcement by prosecutor Matt Hawling, the witness was part of the KLA, in the east operative zone and will testify to what he saw during that time.

In this case, former President Hashim Thaci, former Prime Ministers Kadri Veselin and Jakup Krasniqi, as well as former head of Vetevendosje deputies Rexhep Selimi, are accused of war crimes and crimes against humanity. According to the indictment, the accused have been aware or should have been aware of the cause of leadership positions in the KLA General Staff, regarding claims of crimes committed and intended to take power through them in Kosovo.
