During Wednesday's meeting, Pristina's Municipal Assembly failed to adopt the budget for 2025, due to lack of quorum. Asmblasters of the Vetevendosje Movement (LVV) and the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) abandoned the session, making it impossible to conclude the budget vote.
Pristina municipality Chairman Progress Rama reacted to this situation, accusing LVV and PDK of boycotting the will of citizens.
In a Facebook post, Rama stressed that the budget for 2025 was drafted professionally and in line with the needs of citizens.
“Today we held the capital's budget approval session for 2025. The budget was not approved in the absence of quorum due to the release of the hall by PDK assistants and later those of Vetevendosje. The 2025 budget is designed professionally and based on the needs and demands of our citizens.
Therefore, issuing the hall at the budget hearing by PDK and VV is boycotting the will of citizens. Despite successive efforts to block good works in the capital, we will not stop working for the benefit of all citizens indiscriminately”, Rama wrote on Facebook.
