In an interview for Serbian Public Television, responding to the findings that many in Serbia believe that the recent actions of the Government of Kosovo have been adopted and co-ordinated with the United States of America, Hill says this is completely incorrect information.
“The US has made it very clear, absolutely clear that the future of this situation must be resolved through dialogue, through what Lajcak is doing. We support this constantly. And I think we've also been pretty clear that we're disappointed when someone deviates from dialogue or takes unilateral steps. I have to say that Serbia, I know this was very difficult for Serbia, but Serbia remains dialogue and I think this is the right approach. We'll have to see how we get through this. But I want to assure you that it is absolutely our attitude that dialogue has all the elements that can solve these problems and that these problems should be solved with dialogue”, Hill said, the metamersmethil Telegrafi.
Asked about the steps in any direction, sanctions against Kurt's administration, Hill stresses that the US has made very clear in some cases in recent days and weeks what they think should be done.
We have been very clear on the bridge issue in Mitrovica. We are also very clear about the absolute need for the formation of the Serbian Communist Association. So, I think we've sent very clear messages and we've also been very clear that those who deviate from dialogue risk being diverted from our politics. What I can say is that Serbia has worked hard for this. Serbia has done well by sticking to dialogue and I would really encourage Serbia to continue with this”, Hill said.
