The ministry says the town was apparently hit by two ballistic missiles. There was very little time between the air strike siren and the missile strike that people were injured along the way to bomb shelters.
Rescue teams have managed to rescue 25 persons, 11 of whom are left in ruins and are continuing their search for survival.
