KFOR from today until the end of October will launch professional exercises in Kosovo.
NATO Mission officials suggest these exercises will be realised by the reserve units.
According to them, a container of over 300 troops from the Royal Yorkshire Regiment of the United Kingdom will be located temporarily in Kosovo and conduct a series of training activities, along with other KFOR troops.
The aim of this exercise is to test existing procedures for quick deployment of additional troops and their integration with the KFOR mission.
The exercise supports KFOR's readiness to respond to relevant security developments in order to ensure the continued and effective implementation of our UN mandate, based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244, to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people. and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement, at any time and impartially.
After completing military exercises, this contingent will return to the United Kingdom.
KFOR will take all necessary measures to ease the effects on road traffic, which can be expected as a result of the movements of military personnel and vehicles on the threshold and during this exercise.
