Witness faces video after lying Thaci said he wanted Kosovo without Serbs

He had written a report in 1999 showing false claims to Hashim Thaci. The same ones had been delivered to Kosovo's Specialised Chambers.

In his report, Russell had written that during Hashim Thaci's visit to Gjilan on 3 October 1999, he had declared he wants Kosovo without Serbs.

Thaci's defence has faced the witness with Hashim Thaci's full statement of 3 October 1999, where he had at no time declared such a thing. Thaci's defence has published the full video from Thaci's speech for the day in question and, as well, two articles from various media evidence that Thaci had never stated that he wanted Kosovo without Serbs.

You gave evidence, where you said you heard Mr. Thaci said he said some things. I gave them the record and there's nothing like it. Then I told two newspaper articles where neither of them says what you say, I'm telling you you're wrong”, said Thaci's defense.
