Suspect arrested in fatal accident in the village of Stepeq

Police through a media communiqué announced that the suspect with orders to the state prosecutor is to hold 48-hour.

We inform you that by the date 03.08.24, around 3:30, police have been informed of a traffic accident that took place in the village of Steupak-Rugovo. In that accident, there was a motorcycle in which there were two (2) people, the motorcycle was driven, and as a result, one person died at the site of a medical team, while the other person has sustained bodily injuries.

At the scene, the competent units of the Regional Road Communications Unit ( IML), and the State Prosecutor, who has ordered that the body of the victim be sent to the Institute of Legal Medicine ( IML) in Pristina for Obligation. Initially, according to the statement of the injured person driving was the victim of the accident, following the investigation by NJRRRR investigators- DRP Pay, dated 04.08.2024 during the interview.

It's agreed that driving was the injured person now suspected of having an accident. After interviewing by investigators, the suspect by order of the state prosecutor receives 48-hour maintenance.
