The European Union looks ahead to any action by Kosovo authorities that enables Serbs from the north to get driver licenses issued by the Kosovo Government, EU spokesman Peter Stano told N1.
“The EU welcomes every step taken in order to continue allowing as many Kosovo Serbs as possible to use Kosovo's” driving license.
He added that Brussels is appealing to Kosovo to present other measures that would facilitate receiving Kosovo documents.
“We encourage Kosovo to adopt further measures that would enable as many Kosovo Serbs as possible to obtain additional Kosovo documents, especially a Kosovo ID, which is required to get the Kosovo driver's license”, Stano added.
Today, the deadline set by authorities in Pristina expires for exchanging Serbia's patent drivers with those of Kosovo.
