In a Facebook post, Minister Grovall says that with this increase, with support from families and additions to children, citizens' support for employment and well-being is increasing.
“From October this year, no one employed in Kosovo, regardless of the sector or workplace, will be paid less than 350 euros a month for a full working time. Today, with the decision we adopted, we have made it a reality to raise the minimum wage, bringing it to 350 euros and completely free it from taxes. This decision directly affects about 150 thousand workers who currently receive less than 350 euros a month”.
With this minimum wage increase, support of households, additions for children and other fiscal policies, once again increase support for our families and citizens in employment and welfare”, Grovall said.
She has added that many other decisions -- “ -- which result from clean-handed governance and white pages” -- are expected by the government.
Today, at the 218 meeting of the Kosovo government, the decision has been made that the minimum wage is 350 euros gross.
The Finance Ministry, Iron Murati, has indicated that such a decision will take effect by October, as they want to give time to various companies and organisations.
