RTK Board Chairman Besnik Boletini and Board member Arta Berisha, who resigned were praised by O The SEU for “their service and dedication to public broadcaster”.
“Mission respects their decisions as taken in the interest of respecting the highest standards of ethical journalism and maintaining the integrity of the public medium”, the OSCE response said.
The organisation stressed the importance of accountability and transparency “for preserving public confidence in RTK and its commitment to fair and responsible media reporting and public broadcasting”.
“Already necessary for the Kosovo Assembly to select new members of the RTK board as top priority as soon as they meet again so that the board can function again”, O says SBE.
O The SEU wants the appointment of members of the board and the director general of RTK to be “transparent and clearly based on”.
