Ramadan: Bridge to open in dialogue with NATO, not Serbia

Security Affairs Analyst Burim Ramadani has called for the Ibri Bridge to be opened through Kosovo's dialogue with NATO, rather than with Serbia.

He has deemed the idea of discussing the bridge harmful through dialogue with Serbia in Brussels.

The return of the idea to include the opening bridge in dialogue with Serbia in Brussels is both inappropriate and harmful, and unacceptable. Serbia does not and should not have V ETO for opening the Bridge at Iber” wrote Ramadan in a Facebook post.

According to him, dialogue on this issue in Brussels (BE) has been over recently.

Kosovo and the EU have implemented obligations issued by the agreement. The return of the bridge to the dialogue is Veto for Serbia”, he wrote.

“While, for the opening of the Ibër Bridge, more work is needed with NATO and fewer words in the media! The opening of the bridge together with NATO and KFOR”, he wrote.

The European Union on Tuesday has warned that it plans a meeting between Kosovo and Serbia, in which the bridge's status on the Iber River will be discussed.

“The EU plans to place the bridge's status on the agenda of the upcoming Dialogue Summit”, EU spokeswoman Nabila Masrali has said.
