Over 13 hours has lasted an operation that was conducted for the first time in the Maxilophacial Surgery Clinic, at QKUK.
The operation has been conducted at a 28-year-old, by the team of doctors from Turkey, locals from this clinic and the Anesthesiology Clinic.
According to the media communiqué, the microsurgeonal intervention for the subconstruction of the lower jaw after the tumor was removed and the financial removal of the jaw that was damaged.
“This surgical procedure-Fybula free flap, which means taking a piece of skin, muscle and bone from the leg and transferring these tissue to the lower jaw, doing the anastomosis of blood vessels, with blood vessels on the head and”, is said back in the communiques, reports Klanosova.tv.
USKKUK says such interventions have not been conducted in KKUK before and are not carried out even in some countries in the region.
“CerCatrical surgeons, are attending advanced training for microsurgeon and brakes-flap, in Achen and Bocum, Germany. Such interventions are expected to be conducted even in the near future by our doctors”, it says further,
