Hayriz's family recently identified the body.
His body has returned to Kosovo today in the early hours of the morning, exactly 3 weeks from the murder day.
Faton Hajriz escaped from the Smreconica Correcting Centre on July 6th this year. A few days later, he became a suspect and was declared in search of the murder of a police officer in Serbia. He was killed while on the run from Serbian authorities on 19 July.
According to Serbian media, he was taking refuge in an abandoned factory. It took him two hours and 44 minutes to get there. The distance from where the Serbian police were killed and the factory reportedly is 11.4km.
