The presidency of Kosovo has reacted again to the incident at Skopje Airport, where President Vjosa Osmani was involved after the Civil Aviation Agency in Northern Macedonia said the report released in the case appears that airport services have respected the rules.
But, the presidency says that nowhere in the world is the head of state required to hand over the phone to scan or even personal items.
“Nowhere in the world, the head of state is not required to hand over the phone for scanning. In other countries, neither personal luggage nor personal government head's purse is checked, leaving your personal phone alone. As the Presidents, we have enough experience with other trips, we don't need to try it, because nowhere, no personal bags, no suitcases, no phone to the head of state has been subjected to control. Of the dozens of places we've visited today, RMV is the only state in the world that refuses to apply international customary law and international conventions dealing with the head of state. As we have stated, the president has put her bag in control and has passed the scanner. Any other declaration is propaganda for political purposes. There's nothing professional about insurance behavior that stands before a head of state and blocks the movement after even putting the bag on a scanner. The RMV has violated international rules that apply everywhere in the world, demanding the telephone scan of the president of another state, which would present potential for violating national security”, it says in response.
Likewise, the presidency said Osmani has not returned to Kosovo through Skopje Airport, so it has changed its travel route, because its security team has estimated that behind the staggering <x0).
