“Pre-sectorial ft”, “Government Propagand” What did opposition party leaders say about the Ibër Bridge?

South Mitrovica Mayor Bedri Hamza, simultaneously candidate The PDK for prime minister has stated that opening the main bridge over the Iber River in Mitrovica should be realised only in co-ordination with NATO and Kosovo's strategic allies. In an interview for Voice of America, Hamza stressed the importance of avoiding actions that could lead to tension the situation and underscored the need for co-ordination with KFOR troops and diplomats of Kosovo's friendly countries.
“Must have co-operation, co-ordination and co-ordination with NATO, which has its troops within KFOR, with embassies in Kosovo, with the diplomacy of friendly countries in order not to trigger a situation that, instead of having progress to move on the recession and face a situation that would then block the bridge for longer-term”, Hamza said.
While AKR leader Behgjet Pacolli has considered these uncoordinated actions of Kurti to be the government's pre-electoral campaign.
He in an interview for Periscope has said he is a national maneuver of Kurti, rather than a strategicly wise decision.
“The Kosovo Government's pre-electoral campaign for opening the Ibër Bridge, despite opposition from the US and EU, appears to be a populist maneuver rather than a strategic wise decision. The move appears to be more motivated by a desire to show a strong attitude and appeal to nationalist feelings than to address current issues of governance or improve the lives of citizens. Given that the bridge is already open to people and other available bridges exist, the move is lacking in practical need and, instead, stresses the government's lack of significant political achievements”, Pacolli said.
Even, LDK chairman Lumir Abdixhiku has said the bridge over the Iber River should be opened.
He said he does not and does not recognise the other Albanian political position in Kosovo of a quarter century, yet, according to him, has not been opened due to NATO and US security estimates.
If these assessments change in the meantime, conditions mature, their presence in the bridge is undone, the same opens. Therefore, how much power spent on the Albanian factor, to deal with the obedience of our allies. This is patriotism today. And if you have convinced them, open the”, Obadiah said.
Obadiah further said that on the contrary, opening the bridge without allies means confrontation with them.
“Imment worse than an American soldier in front of a Kosovo police officer does not. The American flag vehicle, in front of a Kosovo Police car, is a gift to our enemies! These images of the people of Kosovo will neither accept nor tolerate”, Obadiah said further.
AAKA Chairman Ramush Haradinaj has hinted he is pro-opening the Ibri Bridge.
He has been addressed through a post at '%Facebook' to the Serb community in Kosovo, saying that bridges and roads should connect us, not divide us.
Kosovo Serb citizens, Bridges and roads should connect us, not divide us. Don't prey to short-term policies and protest against free movement”, says his post.
The Ibër Bridge must be a symbol of a common and unskilled life. Freedom of movement as universal value is today and the future. The impact divisions bring us back to memory our past and tragedy”, followed by his post.
