Picula: Vuciq exploits Albanian, Croatian arrest for audience

Tonino Picula, the SDP eurodeput and former Croatian Foreign Minister, has commented on Serbia's announcement of the arrest of an alleged Croatian spy in Belgrade and the detention of Severina on the Serbian border. Picaula stressed to N1 that such incidents are repeated when Alexander Vuciq wants to create political capital in the local audience, often using Croats and Albanians as targets.
I don't think anyone's too surprised at this kind of incident because Vuciq has been recycling behavior that, according to him, creates political overvalues destined for domestic political audience, because whenever he's filled with people in Serbia, he's always trying to deal with Serbia's mythical enemies at random. More often they are Croats, but also Albanians”, Picula said.
Picula also stressed that nothing happens in Serbia without Vuciqi's approval, even though according to the Constitution, the government is leading the country. He also referred to Ivica Dacic's statements, suggesting that in Serbia there are secret files intended to provoke opponents of the regime and expressed concern that this could be a pre-emptive for further repression of media freedom and political expression in Serbia.
As for the party's domestic elections in the SDP, Picaula stressed the need for a more active party role in Croatia's political life, warning of the danger of SDP not becoming passive in the current political situation.
