Osmani meets with CEC chairman, talks about preparations and consultations on scheduled election date

Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has hosted the CEC chairman Kreshnik Radoniqi at the meeting.

“Republic of Kosovo President Vjosa Osmani has hosted the chairman of the Central Election Commission, Kreshnik Radoniqi, today. ”

The presidency reports that preparations and consultations are being discussed at the meeting for setting the date of regular parliamentary elections.

Radoniqi has announced Osmani's issues to be taken into account during assessments of the election date set.

“The CEC chairman announced President Osmani on issues that according to the CEC it is important to take into account during assessments about the election date set. Also discussed at this meeting was the resignation vote and steps to be taken in order for this right to be realised as specified in the new constitutionx1> law, the announcement said.

Osmani has said it is important that on election day the arrangements needed for easy access to persons with special needs be made.

“President Osmani, meanwhile, voiced confidence that the CEC, as the institution responsible for managing the elections, would take all right actions and within the deadline for the election process to be realised by respecting citizens' rights as well as higher democratic standards. ”
