Abdixhiku pressed serious charges against persons linked to the industry, citing names known as Nagip Krasniqi, who has been appointed to the helm of KEK by the ruling party.
According to the Special Prosecutor, Krasniqi is accused of negotiating a secret tender worth 3.4m euros.
This tender was negotiated in a period when KEK's A5 Block was out of office for a total of nine months.
During that time, Kosovo was forced to buy high-cost electricity, reaching up to 1m euros a day -- a burden dropping on Kosovo citizens, after the government had increased energy prices by 100%.
Another person involved in these charges is Martin Berisha, who, though in the ambassador post, is investigated for mediating energy purchase.
For this service, he allegedly benefited 2m euros from the GEN-I company headquartered in Belgrade, while a bank in Pristina has attracted 1.5m euros in cash.
Obadiah also accused the prime minister of protecting these individuals, stressing that the power mafia has deep roots in current power.
According to him, this public protection of persons involved in such scandals stems from the unprecedented self-confidence they feel, thanks to the 51% parliamentary majority.
February 9th, the power mafia falls! After February 9th, independent investigations into a legal system without popular pressure will bring to light all secret tenders. We've set up enough evidence for 113 secret tenders at KEK, and over 877 others in all of the government for three years almost one per day,” concluded Obadiah.
