The Independent Trade Union of Trepca Miners has reacted after the government has decided to allocate 4m euros to the company due to the wage crisis for miners.
This union has indicated they will not hold the protest that was warned of holding the Thursday.
The miners' goal of executing the village wages has been accomplished, so we deem it unreasonable to keep up the protest tomorrow. This has even been the sole goal of the protest and that at any moment the demands of miners cannot and should not be placed on political overtones. ” said in notification.
On the other hand, they have called for miners to return to work.
Full response:
The highly respected citizens of the Republic of Kosovo;
Today, 1408,2024 The government of the Republic of Kosovo has allocated a total of 4 million for subsidies to Trepca U.S. miners for pay wages.
Given the fact that yesterday we have announced that we will hold a protest at the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, with the sole aim of demanding execution of unpaid wages, given the government's reflection, we withdraw from the protest that was due tomorrow.
The miners' goal of executing the grey wages has been accomplished, so we also deem it unreasonable to keep up the protest tomorrow. This has even been the sole goal of the protest and that at any moment the demands of miners cannot and should not be placed on political overtones.
The miners have not asked for anything but terms for decent jobs and salaries. Our commitment to work in the mine is and will remain steadfast forever.
So we ask all miners to get back to work.
Thank you.
Good luck!
